I first met Lily at a Christian Asian-American women's gathering, and even before meeting her in person, I knew she was a talented writer and photographer through an inspiring podcast story about her beautiful life (you all should listen to it!). Intrigued, I started following her on social media, where I discovered her captivating portraiture and storytelling work.

After connecting with Lily in person, she invited me to collaborate on a project she was volunteering for—a Christian conference aimed at empowering young leaders to become future world changers. I felt incredibly honored when she asked to photograph and tell the story of my identity, capturing the essence of who I am and who I'm becoming, like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, or a flower bud blooming into a beautiful flower. I couldn't have asked for a more caring, thoughtful, and Jesus-loving photographer and storyteller to work with.

During this challenging season of my life, Lily's work has been profoundly healing. Her artistry and guidance have taught me how to dream and rediscover myself with the Lord. Through her lens, I fell in love with myself and with Jesus all over again, embracing the profound connection as His beautiful bride.

I’ve had photos taken for various events in my life but I’ve never been comfortable in front of the camera. With Lily that totally changed. She was incredible at covertly disarming my hesitation in being the center of attention. The portraits Lily took of me are the most authentic and candid photos I’ve ever seen of myself. I absolutely love them and will cherish them for a long time. She took the photos in my apartment and worked with me on finding the right lighting, colors and set up to optimize my comfort level and help me relax. She showed up with a vision of the style of photos she wanted and put thought into trying to match the feeling of the photos with my personality. Without her gentle and patient persistence in breaking down my resistance to be in the spotlight, I wouldn’t have gotten such genuine photos. I am so grateful for Lily’s talent and incredible eye! I plan to use her again and have recommended her whole heartedly to anyone I know looking for a photographer.

I’ve admired Lily’s photography work for many years, but finally had a chance to book a photoshoot with her last fall (we are from another state). Before the shoot, we had an extensive meeting for her to understand my goals of what I’d like for her to capture, and to come up with a good plan for the photoshoot. Shooting with her was such a breeze and a fun time! I struggle with knowing how to pose when I have my picture taken but she was excellent at encouraging and directing both myself and my fiancé. I absolutely LOVE the photos she captured for us!! They are better than I could even imagine and we are both so happy with them. I hope we are able to shoot again with her soon!
